Amid evolving global trade environments and updating technical standards, major markets such as Europe, North America, and Australia have continuously revised certification and regulatory requirements for water heaters. Notably, the U.S. Department of Energy’s new energy efficiency regulations for gas water heaters came into effect in March this year, while amendments to Canada’s Energy Efficiency Regulations will be officially implemented in October 2025. These regulatory adjustments impose higher demands on domestic water heater exporters. Timely understanding and adapting to target market access rules have become a core prerequisite for companies expanding overseas.
